Answering the Call: Raising $1 Million
(10% of a $10 Million Goal)
Our Founding Story: Talladega College was founded by former slaves, William Savery and Thomas Tarrant in honor of their commitment that in part, education was vital to the preservation of our liberties. The pursuit of higher education has been an integral part of the growth of the Black community and development of its leaders. The Talladega College National Alumni Association (TCNAA) instituted the Legacy Fund as the primary fundraising vehicle for alumni and Friends of ‘Dega to financially support Talladega College.
We have always responded to our Alpha Lyra Vega needs. As the College seeks to raise $10 million to see that our college continues to be a viable source of education for generations to come, the TCNAA seeks to engage alumni – our Talented Tenth – to raise 10% of the $10 million goal. Our financial gifts and continued support of Talladega College with our time and talents will only aid ‘Dega in garnering support from external donors. “We’ll love and honor thee. We’ll live and die for thee. Talladega! Talladega! Crimson and Blue!”
The leadership of the Talladega College National Alumni Association invites YOU to be a part of the Talented Tenth campaign.
